Slice.com is a US Company purchased by Rakuten; it has developed iOS and Android Apps, but no Windows Versions are officially available.
As my focus had been for some time on Azure and Server Technologies, I decided on my own time to implement a Windows 8 and a Windows Phone 8 Versions of the App. I used MVVMCross and 90% of the code is re-usable across the ViewModels and Services.
My Purchases' works seamlessly with your email inbox to find and store the e-receipts from the stuff you buy. The Main Features include: Quickly Search for a Receipt Find Purchases by browsing by Merchant or Category, Graphs and Charts showing trends by Merchant or Category, Access a Merchant's "Return Policy" page and get its support phone number, easily find an Order Number when contacting a Merchant, and easily order the same item again. GPC matches products from different Rakuten marketplaces allowing for example to provide better descriptions to end-users but also to find the same product across different Merchants. GPC's Product Matching Algorithm allows for matching of Products by GTINs such as UPC, EAN, JAN, or Manufacturer Part Number. During this period, I was assigned to be the Architect and Team Lead for a number of Client Applications that are available on the Windows Store (Japan). The Architecture for the different Applications was similar, using a MVVM approach and highly maintainable Views and ViewModels. Here are the Apps that were released –
· Ichiba App, main Japan Marketplace o ‘Ichiba’ is Rakuten’s main marketplace platform in Japan. It dominates the Japanese e-Commerce landscape with Millions of Merchants and Users. I implemented the first Windows Ichiba Application with multiple Views and ViewModels: Main Screen, Browse by Category, Item Details, Add to Cart, Checkout, Payment, and more. · Rakuten Global Platform App, Spain Marketplace o The Rakuten Global Platform Application is Rakuten's Client to its main Global Initiative, with multiple Marketplaces across the World. The first Marketplace we released the App into was Spain and different View were implemented including: Log-In, Main Page, Browse by Category, Search, Item Details, Checkout, Payment, and more. · Gateway App o The Gateway applications serves as an introduction to multiple Rakuten Services. This was the first Windows 8 application I developed for Rakuten, when Windows 8 was released. It included many Views: main view outlining a few items from each of the Rakuten Services, Item Detail View, Additional Items View, Integration with Ichiba Web, and more.

Calyx Software was founded in 1991 and began its operations in San Jose, California, to provide software for Mortgage professionals. I was employed in the Product Development Group, starting as one of the Software Engineers working on the WebCaster project and eventually becoming the main Systems Architect for all back-end, server based projects. Below I list my responsibilities and the major products I designed and worked on.
· Primary System Architect and Technical Lead in all projects. · Responsible for designing and delivering high performance and high user volume enterprise systems.
